I had battery drain with 4.3.1 until I turned off Ping and restarted my phone. Since then, good battery life.

apparently apple needs to educate the local news programs better. my local nbc news reporter in nyc just said that "the iphone does send tracking information back to apple".

Inspired by the new Tron Legacy Trailer and all the stuff out of comic-con. Can't wait for this movie!
Excellent desktop; cannot wait either!!! I was a young pup when the first debuted and I cannot tell you the last time I was excited to see a movie as much since then. Don't like how the music changed though; liked the original trailer with the hype techno!!

This is the very reason why I think that Apple's policy should be reconsidered. Why would content providers such as the Financial Times be compelled to offer their content on iOS, when Apple requires them to (additionally) use the in-app purchases by which the providers lose the advantage of using their own register and keeping the entire revenue, without having to share it with Apple. The position of the Financial Times is completely understandable, regardless of what kind of business decisions the provider makes. It still doubt whether the true motive of Apple to enforce this measure is not consumer protection but receiving profits from the content of others.
Why should people who just want to read the news be compelled to provide the FT with personal information in order to do so? Why does the FT need to know my name, address, phone number, etc.?

I should thank Steve Jobs for a Keynote that saved me money and didn't have me lusting after something. Amount to be spent as a result of this keynote - �0
AppleTV - pointless.
iPhone - beautiful. I'm NEVER spending that much on a phone. EVER.
New Airport Extreme - cost twice what it should.
The airport base station is priced competitively with other n routers.. check out linksys new N router.
Jobs didnt have much of a choice about the iPhone. Its what some many people in the media wanted so he had to deliver or Apple stock might have suffered. I dont agree with it but I dont blame him. I was looking for a MacBook Pro update but I'm not worried :D

The thing is, all these games are available for free online for your mac. I suppose if you want to play them on your ipad or phone that's one thing. If that doesn't matter, you can get your nostalgia for free. Same goes for NES, Coleco, Super NES, and Genesis emulators.
They may be available for free, but that doesn't really mean they are available legally. :)

You are obviously missing the point. Apple's new subscription model is preventing choice from coming to it's customers. How is that not a bad thing?
Apple's new subscription model is preventing publishers from selling our / your private information to advertisers / spammers.
If publishers want to make money and thrive they should do it by earning it and producing quality content, not by selling our private information to third parties.
I'm not saying the FT isn't a quality publisher, just saying this applies to all publishers in general.

Hey guy's, I have a tangerine iBook G3 Clamshell. Everything is perfect on it except that I need to get a hard drive for it, and I need a faceplate for the CD drive. Here is a link to what that part looks like.

just took a look, and these guys have an interesting story about Apple ceasing to use Rendezvous as a brand. I didn't see that on MacRumors, so I might check out Cafe Macs every now and then. Every other site I've seen has had redundant news, but this caught me by surprise.

I strongly suggest you copy off your work folder or files onto the desktop or wherever and work from them there, copying the new files back onto your Flash drive when you're done.

Really just want to see how much my system is worth. Not really for sale. Its a Powermac G4 quicksilver. It has a external dvd burner, 384mb ram, 2 40gb hard drives, and a dell 15" lcd monitor. Anyone have any input as to how much it is worth? Thanks, rhodest
