Real Housewives of Miami's Cristy Rice Fernandez used to be married to former Miami Heat star Glen Rice, but when they broke up, it was kinda messy to say the least. Sports fans will recall that Glen was arrested in 2008 on suspicion of felony battery after he found a man hiding in Cristy's closet while they were estranged. But for those of us non-sports fans who only ever heard of Glen Rice because of Real Housewives, here's the lowdown according to ESPN:
Rice went to the home of estranged wife Christina Rice and punched Alberto Perez several times, police said. Perez fled the home and called police. He received a cut to his forehead that needed nine stitches, police said.
Rice surrendered to police and was released later on $5000 bail. Add this to the rumor that Cristy is the "homewrecker" behind Luis Fonsi's divorce from his cancer-surviving wife Adamari Lopez and you have the makings of a Real Housewives super hüila.
Now that Cristy is single, she is raising the couple's five children, running an online clothing store for kids called Bri Bri Boutique, and dealing with "relationship drama," according to her Bravo bio. When it comes to Cristy, we won't take those words lightly. Here's hoping she reveals the deets of all her sordid affairs on the show.
